Design

The ZenBook DUO UX8406 is offered in an Inkwell Gray color. The chassis is made from US MIL-STD 810H military-grade standard magnesium alloy, which also provides incredible lightness and rigidity to the design.

Core Ultra 7 Laptop

It comes configured with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H Processor which is designed for high-density computing operations, and to excel through dedicated AI tasks.

The setup is powered by a total of 16 performance cores, some of them are efficiency cores, and some of them are low-power efficiency cores, 22 threads, and a level 3 Intel Smart Cache of 24 MB. This configuration is more than capable of handling any modern-day CPU-associated operation you throw at it. The CPU ones are initially clocked at intervals of 1.4 GHz, which when needed is turbo-boosted to a max clock of 4.8 GHz, using Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology. Enabling the system to ace through all sorts of single-core, multi-core, and multithreaded operations.

It accommodates a memory handling capacity of Up to 7467 MT/s for the LPDDR5/x memory platform. The integrated Intel® Arc™ Graphics provides a Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency of 1.95 GHz which ensures stable performance when it comes to tasks, like rendering, gaming, editing, etc.

The low power efficiency one acts as Intel’s AI Boost NPU, which helps the notebook to assist the device locally in terms of AI applications like Windows Copilot, Photoshop, Stable Diffusion, etc.

Memory and Storage

The Asus UX8406 integrates a capable setup with a capacity of onboard soldered 16GB over the LPDDR5X platform offering a transfer rate of 7467 MT/s, by fully utilizing the CPU’s capability.

The storage drive included holds a capacity of 1TB over the PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive, which offers speedy read and write rates, which when combined with the remaining setup provides rapid boots and launches for applications.

Dual Display Laptop

The device differentiates as a dual-screen laptop; therefore it needs to offer flagship quality panels, and for that, we are treated with a main screen with a 14.0-inch panel, which accommodates a resolution of 3K at 2880 x 1800. As standard it is  PANTONE Validated, has a Glossy surface, produces 70% less harmful blue light, and is a  Touch screen having a  Screen-to-body ratio of 91%, and comes with stylus support.

Below we have another 14.0-inch OLED panel which also comes with all the greatness of OLED. In terms of specification, it only refreshes at a rate of 60 Hz when compared with the original screen.

Keyboard and Trackpad

The removable keyboard deck accommodates a Soft Keyboard, that offers a 1.4 mm Key-travel, located on top of the fully clickable and multi-gesture supported. Precision touchpad

Battery

Driving two capable OLED panels requires a lot of power, to support that it is fitted with a 4S1P, 4-cell Lithium Ion battery unit holding a capacity of 75WHrs, which can be recharged using the included 65W AC Adapter, Output: 20V DC, 3.25A, 65W, Input: 100-240V AC 50/60GHz universal.

Other Specs

The device includes a full HD camera with an infrared function that supports facial recognition with Windows Hello. The audio system is fitted with Smart Amp Technology, which powers built-in speakers that are tuned by Harman/Kardon (Premium). It also fits inside a Built-in array of microphones, which support Windows Cortana.

The incoming wireless signals are carried by the Wi-Fi 6E(802.11ax) (Dual band) 2*2 + Bluetooth® 5.3 Wireless Card (*Bluetooth® version may change with OS version different.). External devices are connected through 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2x Thunderbolt™ 4 supports display/power delivery, 1x HDMI 2.1 TMDS, 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack.
